I have created this page as a record of my experience on Earthwatch projects, both for my own benefit, and for the benefit of others considering taking part in these projects. All text and images on this page are my property, apart from the Earthwatch logo, which is used with permission.

The projects I took part in were:

Orca Survey

In July 1997, I spent 10 days on the beautiful San Juan islands, off the coast of Washingston State and British Columbia, working on the Orca project. This project studies the behaviour of the three resident Orca whale pods.

Exploring Dolphin Intelligence

In June 1998, I spent two weeks in Honolulu, Hawaii, at the Kewalo Basin Marine Mammal Laboratory, working on the Exploring Dolphin Intelligence project. This project works with four captive dolphins, studying their potential intelligence and cognition.
